Have you heard of a term called the butterfly effect? Whenever you solve a math problem, a minor change in substitution might result in a greater error. The same happens in the big picture. It is believed that when a butterfly flutters its wing in Australia, It might create a hurricane in Texas. This beautiful term “Butterfly Effect” was coined by Edward Lorenz. But what if I say that if there isn’t the occurrence of WW1, India still would under the British Raj. Which means we might not even be born. Likewise, relate each story which I am going to demonstrate below. From world war 1, to the creation of anime, every single change in our lives in some way is the other related to our huge success.

MISINTERPRETATION OF ROUTE LED TO WW1

The great leader from Austria(Archduke Ferdinand carl Ludwig joseph maria) was transiting in a car with his wife, in front of which there were four cars, furious Hungarians came to attack those cars. But they didn’t know Ferdinand is in one among cars, somehow Ferdinand escapes by reaching the town hall. After giving a speech in the town hall, Ferdinand decided to visit those wounded personnel in the hospital(attacked by Hungarians). Leopold Lojka was the chauffeur of the car carrying the Austro-Hungarian heir Archduke Franz Ferdinand and his wife. But the route wasn’t a planned one. Lojka, a Czech, wasn’t a good navigator of the new way. So, the role of navigating the cavalcade was passed to Mayor Fehim Efendi Curcic. While driving from town hall, when Curcic took the wrong right turn down a side street, Lojka followed the car in front. Governor Potiorek chastised Curcic for his mistake and told Lojka to stop the car, Lojka did as instructed. However, it so happened that a 19-year old boy member of Bosnia Gavrilo Princip standing at the corner of the street noticed Ferdinand. Princip seized the opportunity. He took his Model 1910 380ACP pistol out. And pulled the trigger which took the life of the Austro-Hungarian heir. This assassination led Austria to wage war against Hungarians. Later their neighbours, Germany, British participated in it.

Now, question yourself, what if the driver takes left?

ACT OF MERCY LEADS TO THE RISE OF HITLER

Henry Tandey was a British recipient of the Victoria Cross, the highest award for gallantry. He was remembered as the soldier who supposedly spared Adolf Hitler’s life during the war. Adolf and Tandey encountered each other at the French village of Marcoing. Hitler was weary, wounded, and did not even attempt to raise his rifle. Tandey chose not to shoot as he is severely wounded. Hitler saw a newspaper report about Tandey being awarded the VC in October 1918. Hitler received a painting from Lieutenant Colonel Earle in 1936. The painting was commissioned by the Green Howards Regiment from the Italian artist in 1923, showing a soldier purported to be Tandey carrying a wounded man at the Kruiseke Crossroads in 1914, northwest of Menin. After 20 years, in 1938, Neville Chamberlain visited Hilter at his alpine retreat. he noticed the painting and asked about it. Hitler replied: That man came so near to killing me that I thought I should never see Germany again. Hitler asked Chamberlain to convey his best wishes and gratitude to Tandey. Chamberlain promised to phone Tandey in person on his return, which apparently he did.

what if Tandey shot Hitler?

POOR TRANSLATION MADE AMERICA TO NUKE HIROSHIMA AND NAGASAKI

When America offered its terms of surrender in the allied meeting( Russia, Japan, France, etc) in Potsdam. All submitted their surrender terms. In which America stated that any negative answer would prompt “utter destruction”. When Japanese Prime Minister Kantaro Suzuki was asked by a reporter about his response. Kantaro Suzuki said “Mokusatsu”, which means “NO COMMENT”. But due to poor translation, the reporter and US officials interpreted it as “NOT WORTHY OF COMMENT”. America thought this was a threat directly from the Japanese Prime Minister. Within 10 days Harry S.Truman dropped the atomic bomb. The bombing killed between 90,000 and 146,000 people in Hiroshima and 40,000 and 80,000 people in Nagasaki. Such a small translation caused the death of over 150,000 people.

Now, ask yourself what if there exists, google translator?

ANIME AS A TOOL OF MOTIVATION

After the nuclear strike in Hiroshima and Nagasaki in 1945 Japan was piercing through economic problems. Many people were left homeless, and unable to eat. Osamu Tezuka, an artist, doctor, and activist started creating comics at low prices for the public to get entertained. These anime comics inspired the Japanese people to get back on their feet. After a few years, Japan overcame all its declining curves.

What if America hadn’t nuked Japan? There won’t be any anime…
